NoCOUG meeting at Oracle HQ from 10:30 AM to 3 PM on Thursday, February 23
Covid begone! NoCOUG is back! The first post-Covid NoCOUG meeting will be held at the conference center at Oracle HQ on Thursday, February 23.
The keynote will be delivered by none other than Juan Loaiza, thirty-five-year Oracle veteran, and now executive vice-president of database technology. The old-timers amongst us will remember his famous RAID paper in which he invented the acronym S.A.M.E. meaning "Stripe And Mirror Everything". It is safe to say that he probably knows more about Oracle technology, past, present, and future than anybody else.
Everybody's favorite Oracle speaker Maria Colgan (SQL Maria) will give a presentation titled "Five things you may not have known about the Oracle Database". There are things you might not have known - or that you might have known about but never realized how they could benefit you.
There will also be a deep dive by none other than the king of Oracle nerds, Tanel Poder himself who will give us his deep technical insights into how to handle large hash joins in Oracle.
Best,
The NoCOUG team
